Oldie but Goodie..Flashback

While thinking about what will be this month's entertainment FLASHBACK moment.. I drifted back to my ride to work this morning. I was of course drinking my morning coffee Mocha-Tonix when the radio station plays "Pleasure Principle" x Janet Jackson. Naturally, my body just starts moving and I am in a daze wondering where exactly I am getting these moves from.. and I realize one source Mya Marie Harrison.

About 12 years ago MTV showed a special called "IconZ Janet Jackson" in which Pink, Usher, and Mya came together and presented the best dance videos that Janet has ever done. Mya of course was selected for "Pleasure Principle". I can remember making sure I learned every single step to that dance routine before I went to bed that evening. I am so surprised that to this day my body just reacts to the music.



What surprises me even more is how much Pink has changed. Now known for being a Pop/Rockstar, she was placed in a category for being a great dancer. I wonder if one day we will see this Pink again? hmmmmmm...

I wonder if Kelly Rowland knows exactly how much she motivates me to wake up at 5:30am every morning to get a workout session in before work at 8:45am?!!? I can honestly say, I have always been the type to work out a few days, take a break for two weeks and I'm back at it for two more days. Now I will scream, I WANT WHAT KELLY ROWLAND HAS!!!! :)

Rihanna has just released the official video to my favorite track from her newest album "Unapologetic" I know that I as well as many other females can relate to this record. Rihanna decided to keep it simple for this video and I am not mad a tad bit." The simplicity lures you in and makes you relate. I know that I have definitely have had some bathtub I need "Him" here moments..

Beyonce SuperBowl 2013

King Bey herself will be the headline performer for this year's halftime show. Can I say how excited I am for this! Rumor has it that Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will also perform alongside Beyonce and premier their new single Nuclear This record sounds like a throw away record from their 2004 Destiny Fulfilled album but I will take a Destiny's Child reunion any way I can get it. Can we say COUNTDOWN!!?

I can not truly say that I am a Tamar Braxton fan. I can however say that I am here for her single "Love and War" I even have to admit that this record is filled with over the top vocals I never knew she had. Touche' bisshh. Can I just say that I am stalking this album! I have never been more excited about a album this year. I have watched Elle blossom and pave her way into the R&B game from the beginning and I am so happy people are taking notice. Elle Varner's album will be a classic one. I have no doubt about that.

Introducing Asia Shabazz

I'm so excited to introduce Asia Shabazz ex-member of girl group HERstory. I was a huge fan of the girl group HERstory when they were introduced to me a little over a year ago. I just knew this girl group would without question become the next TLC or Destiny's Child. Unfortunately, this did not happen. The best thing I loved about HERstory was that each member was talented vocally. Asia is ready to spread her solo wings with her newest release "Like the Radio." Asia is setting the tone for LA music and I'm excited to where she will take us.
